Last week, I attended Legislative Day for libraries. It started with a boring rally which was indicative by the fact that the emcee for the event was a children's librarian who read down to us from her politically correct book. It did not make matters better that is was close to 100 degrees.
We also met with Charlie Dent, Sen. Casey's aide, and Sen. Specters aide. By the end of the day, I was pooped for I think the heat made me tired.
Even though it was a tiring day, we received a serendipitous tour of the senate library. The librarian was gracious and full of energy; so, I do appreciate the fact that she took time out of her busy schedule to accommodate us. With that said, I was too tired to revel in her generosity.
I did carry the Pennsylvania sign which nobody from CNN, Fox News or NPR saw for the event was not televised. There had to be about roughly 400 people in attendance.
The best part of the day was having a ride home from Ed who dropped me off and picked me up from the 30th street station. It was priceless.
